Baby Swings

Baby Swings

The baby swing market has officially swung into the big times. Our parents or grandparents might have kept us on a bed or a mat to crawl around when we were younger. But swing technology has now taken hold, and this list is chalk full of some leaders in this sphere.

Graco Slim Spaces Compact Baby Swing – Humphry

Cost is always an issue. Heck, newborns aren’t cheap, and if you think the first couple years are going to be rough on your budget, imagine what a four-year college is going to set you back! But let’s leave that to the side, you’ve got 18 more years to enjoy little Suzy or Sammy, and this setup from Graco is by far the most bang for your swing buck that you’ll find. The retail price varies from $65 to $70, and it’s a great choice for apartments or small homes. Compact and slender, the Graco easily folds, and features two mobile, dangling toys on the top.

The only downside to this swing is it’s battery-operated only, and the battery case sits literally above the baby’s head. The motor is not ultra-silent, but again, a good buy at a bargain price.

Graco Simple Sway Baby Swing

Speaking of small spaces, the previously mentioned Baby Swing - Humphry is affordable, and great for small spaces. But this model, also from Graco, is literally manufactured for small spaces. Graco engineers went to town with this one, and the Simple Sway Baby Swing is by far the most compact swing on the market. You can settle this swing into any corner in the house, and its narrow frame ensures for no bulky re-assembly or bending and manipulating to try and fit it through the door. Some online commentaries pointed to a need for more speeds and vibrations, but at this size, you can only jam in so much.

4moms MamaRoo 4 Infant Seat

This swing is awesome! One Google image search and you’ll understand why this leads the list of the best high-end swings out there. The thing looks downright palatial, and you will undoubtedly draw quite a few comments inviting friends over to see the new addition to the family in this 4moms number.

The array of motions is staggering, but more than that, it can all be controlled over Bluetooth. The entire seat reclines on the MamaRoo, and the built-in sounds put your baby into a virtual concert-like setting. Yes, this swing costs a lot. But the value added here is otherworldly. If you’ve got the cash, go for the MamaRoo!

Ingenuity ConvertMe Ridgedale Swing-2-Seat

When babies are really young, they’re sort of like sacks of potatoes. They will roll from side to side, make noises, look at you either lovingly, or with a blank stare that will turn you to the Internet to investigate if everything is Ok. All these things are normal, and what’s even more normal is for some infants to want a little more activity than others.

This swing from Ingenuity is more than simply a swing. It can transition into a vibrating bouncer, allowing your little one to put some spring in their “steps” (no stepping yet though). The Swing-2-Seat features five swinging speeds, and three nature sounds. There are also eight songs included so your baby is sure to have a ball for weeks on end here. The best part about the Swing-2-Seat is the battery-powered technology is silent. No whirring noises or anything to annoy you. That sounds fantastic, right?

If you’re a new parent, congratulations! If you’re on number two, three, four or eight, congratulations as well! These swings will make your life easier, and your kid’s life full of countless hours of relaxation and fun.
