Pest Control

Pest Control

Uff, there are lots of nasty things in life, but pests in the house is clearly at the top of list. However, before any type of spraying, we urge you to try pest prevention first. What does this consist of? First up, remove all sources of water, food and shelter. Anywhere or anything a creepy crawly can sink their nasty little mouths into or fit their atrocious, crustacean/slimy bodies on top of, do away with it. Next, store all food in glass containers or sealed plastic bags. Food scraps need to be stored in a secure trashcan with the lid on tight. Take the stance that you’re living in bear territory. Would you feel comfortable simply tossing that chicken wing into a trashcan and leaving the top ajar in Yosemite National Park? We didn’t think so, getting your jugular ripped to a pulp on a romantic holiday camping weekend shouldn’t be in the cards.

Another tip – leaky plumbing. You’d be surprised how much stagnant water attracts. Bugs and what not love to congregate around puddles so if you’ve got a leaky faucet which is adding to said stagnant water pile, you’re sure to have some uninvited guests. Clutter is another no-no. Not only do pests like to hide and burrow, your clutter can also serve as food to some nasty neighbors. Stacks of newspapers, those old magazines you swear you will read next Saturday but keeps getting pushed from Saturday to Saturday to Saturday to Saturday. Guess what, chief? They’re never getting read. Ever. Toss them, Marie Kondo style!

Ok, so fast-forward 1 week and you’ve completed everything we’ve just outlined here, but there are nasty spiders, ants and cockroaches still about. Well, fear not, we’ve got some amazing recommendations. To begin, TERRO Liquid Ant Killer Baits. Great for both inside and outside, TERRO are plastic trays with a delicious treat as poisonous as poison could be. But the great part is you don’t need to touch the product. Simply pop off the top, set it down where ants tend to congregate, and you’re good to go.

On the cockroach side, living without Advion Cockroach Gel Bait is a crime. Seriously, if cockroaches have taken over your life then you’d be a fool not to purchase this murderous gel. There are few pests as disgusting as the roach. Songs have been penned, short-stories told, they are gross and deserve a slow-death in the hands of a professional. While this gel bait is technically not a professional, they were designed by professionals and arriving in a pack of 4 pre-filled syringes, the drops of gel attract roaches of all shapes and sizes, infect the roach, but best yet, does not kill them immediately. Not before they’ve brought the substance back to their nest and infected the entire family!

Outsmarting insects is an age-old human pastime. One last player that is a must is Vet’s Best Flea and Tick Home Spray. Living with a pet with fleas and ticks can be unbearable. The itching, scratching, bleeding even, plain nasty. Fleas suck blood and there is no place for them in your home. This spray is incredibly effective, does not leave a nasty odor, and works quick, real quick.

Take a stance for once in your life. Don’t let these bloodsuckers and ankle biters continue to rule your life. You’re the boss (or your partner might be, only you know the real truth), but either way, hit these creeps where they live … today!
