Online Dating Sites

You saw this post on the feed and bookmarked it didn’t you? No shame, we would have as well. Online dating sites spark much interest. Mainly because it is still quite wacky to think one can find a true match-made in heaven (err, computer) online, and virtually (at least to begin with). Well, not only is that true, some sites even boast that one has a higher probability of finding that next great match online than where one would normally go to meet singles.

Now we’re going to get at the real nitty-gritty. What are these sites … and give us the best! You got it …

Coffee Meets Bagel

A new site on the scene, Coffee Meets Bagel arrived as an app and took the best of competing sites and integrated them into one. Coffee beans serve as the currency within the app and one earns more beans based on logins and activity. The more beans, the more potential matches you receive daily. Shared, common interests are what Coffee Meets Bagel tries to uncover and via their secret algorithm why they believe they’re the best at it.

OKCupid

Many singles hit OKCupid first as they can capitalize on a free, trial run. The site still maintains its tried and tested look and features an easy to navigate interface coupled with concise profiles that provide just the right amount of information on that potential next match. OKCupid encourages users to search for matches rather than sending matches, and once you feel you’ve found one a percentage is applied to show how compatible you really are with said person.

Plenty Of Fish

Coffee Meets Bagel might have the best name on this list, but Plenty of Fish is a close second. Very budget-friendly, there are tons upon tons of people (fish) on this site/app which is why singles love it. Variety is the spice of life and Plenty of Fish only strengthens the argument that there really are a plentiful amount of fish in the sea. Fair warning - the site is known more for no-strings-attached matches rather than long-term marriage options.

Tinder

By far the most popular on this list, we’ve saved the “best” for last. Now “best” might not be the most appropriate word to describe Tinder, perhaps “most interesting” is more apt. Super straightforward, one swipes if they’re interested (to the right) and if a match is made each party takes it from there. Profiles are quite minimalistic with the goal of keeping the swiping as active as possible. Some advanced features exist to “boost” your swipe, but most folks find the standard features good enough.

Still not enough options for you? Well, there's more: Riffbuddy - Online Dating Sites.
