Breast Pumps

Breast Pumps

Being a Mom certainly isn’t a walk in the park. It is still odd to think that you need a license to drive but anyone can be a parent at any moment. New mothers have a lot on their plates and one of the preeminent worries is feeding their newborn. Breast pumps have made the process much easier and here is a great starting point to guide new mothers to the best pumps on the market.

Spectra S2

Made by Spectra Baby USA, the most common review on this pumpis how quiet it is. The settings are highly customizable and includes very helpful features such as a timer, carry handle and a night light. The only downside to this model is it takes some time to get a hang of the settings. But outside of that, a fantastic pump.

Medela Sonata

Breast pumps are not always used at the same time every day, nor in the confines of our homes. They need to be portable (or at least that’s the desire), and the Medela is the most highly portable pump on the market. Now, portability has its cost as this pump costs nearly four times as much as others on this list, but it’s operated with a rechargeable battery so of course does not require an outlet. The only con perhaps is the number of pieces to assemble, butfunctionality is second to none.

Philips Avent Manual Comfort Pump

Some women prefer a more low-key, “natural” pump. If this is the case for you, a manual pump is the ideal option. They are lighter, easier to clear and of course quieter. If pumping for very short periods of time is the only necessity, then the practicality of this pump is perfect.

Freemie Liberty

Fun name, right? The Freemie Liberty pump is a hands-free pump. Small enough of course to fit into a bra, you can pump to your heart’s content without having to physically touch the apparatus. Now, it should be noted that this pump will be noticeable underclothes and its suction can be weaker than its competitors, but freedom of movement has its price.

Willow

If you thought the Freemie Liberty was a good option, then the Willow is the Rolls Royce of hands-free pumping. This pump is wireless, and you will pump directly into bags that are housed within the flange-pump combo. An app will track the amount of milk produced and the sleek design means this pump is super easy to assemble and even easier to clean. Again, this type of technology isn’t free so be prepared to shell out considerably more for a pump of this caliber.
